How to Recycle GalleryBoard Packaging

Every item in the GalleryBoard Packaging line is made from a combination of fiberboard, mill paper and accessories like rings.  The line is made in the USA.

Here is some handy information about recycle-ability and recycled content.

Fiberboard - made from 100% recycled content

Specifically the fiberboard is made from 60% mixed office paper and 40% corrugated boxes and newspapers. The process to manufacture the fiberboard does not introduce any harmful or hazardous ingredients to the sheet, and follows strict FDA guidelines. The mill of origin warrants that the fiberboard conforms to FDA Code of Federal Regulations Title 21 Part 176.260 Fibrous Raw Materials and Board Making Chemicals and Additives. The textured paper is made from virgin stock, however the mill of origin certifies it to be recyclable.

Texture Paper top-sheet - Mill FSC certified

Specifically the top-sheet is acid-free, carbon black free, archival, elemental chlorine-free and lignin free.  CERTIFICATE REGISTRATION CODE SW-COC-003258    

Metal Rings for binders - Made from 20% recycled content metal and can be 100% recycled by a metal scrap recycling company

 

Polyethylene Foam - recycles as Plastic #4

 

Plastic Accessories like Handles & Latches are polypropylene and are Plastic Recycle #5
